Joanne Jenkins, a long time member of CAS died of cancer last week (11/2009).
For the past year or so she had been receiving constant chemotherapy and had
been unable to attend many club meetings. Joanne was a skillful aquarist and
maintained a number of beautifully planted tanks with large discus, angelfish and
rams. Several months ago she became unable to maintain her tanks and she
disposed of all of the tanks and fish. She still had her main hobby . . . classic
dolls. These are large dolls with ceramic faces and Joanne dressed them in
period clothing. She loved doing this. We hope they go to a doll museum as
many are very beautiful and unusual.
Joanne was a class act and never complained. We will all miss her. A funeral
service is being conducted at Selby Gardens on December 7, 2009 from 2 - 4 PM.
GOD REST!
